Renovation Process |
1. Submit necessary permit paperwork to municipality.
2. Request certificate of insurance be sent to client.
3. Order cabinets, fixtures, and other items with long lead time.
4. Write job schedule allowing for lead times and inspection schedules.
5. Hold pre-construction meeting with client to review all aspects of construction process.
6. Secure dumpster for job debris removal.
7. Protect adjacent areas as needed.
8. Remove existing fixtures and finishes.
9. Re-frame walls and ceilings and relocate door and window openings as specified.
10. Relocate plumbing and electrical rough-ins as specified in contract.
11. Install insulation and drywall as specified.
12. Install kitchen cabinetry and millwork; template for counter tops.
13. Install tile or hardwood flooring.
14. Install counter tops and tile backsplash.
15. Paint all drywall and millwork.
16. Install appliances and all final plumbing and electrical.
17. Call for final inspection from township building department.
18. Final job cLearn-up and debris removal.
19. Remove any excess material, dumpster, and job sign.
20. Enter job in company schedule for one year check-up.
