Runyan Project Overview
After exploring the possibilities of a major addition and renovation project Jon & Loretta Runyan decided it would make more sense to tear down their existing home. In early 2004 they began the design process that would lead to the creation of their dream home on secluded acreage in Mount Laurel. After a year of design development and another six months of project estimating and planning construction began in the fall of 2005.
The 13,000 square foot estate home includes a separate game room wing that features timber frame construction with a unique football shaped bar and custom designed media wall cabinetry housing six large screen televisions. Built in a French chateau style, the home is both stately and comfortable for family living.
The exterior features cast stone trim with brick and stucco atop a stone foundation. Finishing details include custom wrought iron work, Peruvian travertine limestone pavers and balustrade, a large Tiki hut with authentic thatched roof, and an outdoor kitchen by the pool. A detached four car garage includes two guest suites and connects to the main house with a covered walkway which creates a wonderful courtyard effect.
Some of the many features of the home include an open floor plan organized around a colonnade running the full width of the home, extensive custom tile work, a state of the art HVAC system featuring radiant in-floor heat throughout, a beautiful and functional kitchen, a wrought iron entry door leading into a grand foyer with a circular staircase featuring a custom iron railing. |
